Be the change you want to see in the world.

I would like to begin by saying welcome to our website.   Arturo and I
would like to thank you for stopping by for a visit and checking out our
beloved companions.   Our journey in Rottweilers has been both heart
breaking and rewarding.  We have made alot of friends along the way and
enjoyed some very nice wins.
Our first rottweiler was a rescue bitch that Arturo and I adopted in
Knoxville, TN.  She was our introduction to the world of Rottweilers.
Unfortunately her time on earth with us was far too brief, at around 6
months of age she collapsed in the backyard while playing. We got our first
glimpse at a heart breaking hereditary condition called Sub Aortic Stenosis.
It was several months before we would look into get another rottweiler. We
decided to educate ourselves on the breed first.   We also thought we might
be interested in showing.   We were very naive.  We thought that if someone
showed dogs then they must be a reputable breeder.  I got Harley from
Gregory's Kennels, he had an amazing temperament and heart the size of
Texas.   He was a fun starter dog for the show ring and he even placed at
the Medallion Rottweiler Club, but we would face heartbreak again.   He
failed his hips on preliminary OFA evaluation, he had Osteocondritin
Dessicans in his shoulders, and bilaterally blew his Anterior Cruciate
Ligaments.   Harley never seemed to let any of this bring down his spirits, he
was always willing to work through any pain.
When we began searching for our next show dog we knew exactly what we
wanted and we would be willing to wait any amount of time to get it.  I wish
I could say I found Naya but Arturo  stumbled across her while looking at
European dogs.   Naya was the realization of a dream for us, and before we
knew it she was on her way back from Slovakia and in our home.  She was
exactly what we wanted in terms of conformation, temperament, and health.
Naya would be the beginning of Adonis Rottweilers.
Arturo and I currently reside in beautiful Lexington, KY with Naya and two
of her offspring Will and Jane.   Arturo is a Staff Sergeant in the Army and
he just returned from an 18 month tour in Iraq.  Currently he is a Recruiter
for the Kentucky Army National Guard.   We took a small break from
showing while he was gone because he typically handled our dogs but now
we are back to what we love best.   When we aren't busy with the dogs or
family life, Arturo enjoys weightlifting and sports.  I'm a member of the
Bluegrass Junior Women's Club and I enjoy helping out in the community.
In my spare time you'll find me out jogging with one our dogs.  Thanks
again for visiting our site and we hope to see you at the shows!
